SkedSERVICE respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains what information SkedSERVICE collects through its website, application, public booking pages, and related services, how that information is used and protected, and the choices and rights available to you.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with SkedSERVICE.

Account and Business Information

When you create or use a SkedSERVICE account, we may collect information such as:

• account and authentication information;
• business name and business contact information;
• business address, timezone, language, branding, services, availability, and scheduling settings;
• staff and resource information you choose to add to your business.

Appointment and Customer Information

When an appointment is created through SkedSERVICE, we may process information such as:

• customer name;
• email address;
• telephone number, when provided;
• appointment date and time;
• selected service;
• appointment status;
• information entered in appointment notes or other fields provided through the service.

When a customer books with a business using SkedSERVICE, this information is collected in order to provide scheduling and appointment-management services to that business.

Businesses using SkedSERVICE are responsible for determining what customer information they need and for using that information appropriately in connection with their own services.

Billing Information

For businesses using paid SkedSERVICE services, we process information required to calculate usage, prepare invoices, and administer billing.

Payment processing is provided by Stripe. SkedSERVICE does not store complete payment card numbers. Stripe may process payment details directly and provide SkedSERVICE with information such as payment identifiers, invoice status, and related billing information.

Communications and Contact Information

If you contact SkedSERVICE through the website or by email, we may collect your name, email address, message, and any other information you choose to provide.

The website contact form is processed using Netlify Forms.

Transactional emails, including appointment notifications and reminders, are delivered using Resend.

Technical and Website Usage Information

When you visit the SkedSERVICE website or use the service, certain technical information may be generated automatically, such as:

• IP address;
• browser and device information;
• requested pages;
• timestamps;
• application and server logs;
• information related to errors, security, and system activity.

The public website uses Plausible Analytics to understand general website usage.

Campaign parameters, such as UTM parameters included in links, may be used to understand which marketing campaigns referred visitors to the website.

SkedSERVICE uses personal information for purposes related to providing, operating, protecting, and improving the service, including to:

• create and manage user accounts;
• create and manage businesses, services, availability, and staff;
• provide public booking pages;
• create, confirm, reschedule, cancel, and manage appointments;

• provide dashboard and scheduling functionality;
• calculate usage and prepare invoices;
• process and administer payments;
• provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
• protect the security and reliability of SkedSERVICE;
• investigate errors, abuse, fraud, or technical problems;
• understand and improve how the website and service are used;
• evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns;
• comply with legal, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information We Process for Businesses

SkedSERVICE provides scheduling tools to businesses that use the platform to manage appointments with their customers.

When you book an appointment with a business using SkedSERVICE, SkedSERVICE processes your information in order to provide the booking and appointment-management service requested by that business.

The business with which you book remains responsible for its own relationship with you and for its own use of your personal information. That business may have its own privacy policy or privacy practices.

Questions about the services provided by that business, or its independent use of your information, should normally be directed to the business itself.

Questions concerning SkedSERVICE’s own handling of personal information may be directed to the Privacy Officer listed below.

Service Providers and Disclosure

SkedSERVICE relies on service providers to operate the platform.

These providers may include services used for:

• database hosting and infrastructure;
• application and website hosting;
• email delivery;
• payment processing;
• website forms;
• analytics;
• security and operational monitoring.

Current providers include Supabase, Vercel, Netlify, Resend, Stripe, and Plausible.

Personal information may be disclosed to service providers where reasonably necessary for them to perform services on behalf of SkedSERVICE or where otherwise permitted or required by law.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with a lawful request, protect the security of the service, investigate fraud or misuse, or protect legal rights.

Where Information Is Processed

SkedSERVICE’s primary application database is hosted in Canada.

Some service providers used by SkedSERVICE may process or store personal information outside Québec or outside Canada. As a result, information handled by those providers may be subject to the laws of the jurisdictions in which they operate.

SkedSERVICE takes the location and privacy practices of service providers into account when handling personal information and uses appropriate safeguards where required.

Cookies and Analytics

SkedSERVICE uses cookies or similar storage technologies only where necessary to provide or maintain the functionality of the website and application, such as remembering interface preferences.

SkedSERVICE does not use tracking cookies for analytics, advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.

SkedSERVICE uses Plausible Analytics to obtain aggregate information about use of the public website.

Plausible helps SkedSERVICE understand information such as website traffic, referring sources, popular pages, and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Campaign parameters, such as UTM parameters included in links, may be used to identify the campaign, source, medium, or other marketing context that referred a visitor to the website.

Retention of Personal Information

SkedSERVICE retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, security, legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is held.

For example:

• account and business information may be retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward;
• appointment and customer information may be retained as needed to provide appointment-management functionality and maintain appropriate business records;
• billing and invoice information may be retained for applicable accounting and legal requirements;
• technical and security records may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and system integrity.

When personal information is no longer required, it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized as appropriate.

Security

SkedSERVICE uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards include measures such as access controls, authentication, encrypted network communications, restricted database access, monitoring, and operational security practices.

No system can guarantee absolute security, but SkedSERVICE works to reduce foreseeable risks and responds to security and confidentiality incidents when they occur.
